Tucked away in the heart of Surfers Paradise, this cozy cafe offers a quiet spot to enjoy thoughtfully prepared breakfast and lunch fare. The menu features generous portions of familiar favorites like bacon and eggs, steak sandwiches, and a range of fresh coffee options, including flat whites and lattes brewed with care. For those seeking something lighter or a quick bite, small plates and healthy health juices with green apple bases provide a refreshing alternative.
The space itself carries a relaxed, vintage charm reminiscent of the early 80s, with a welcoming atmosphere that tends to attract a mix of solo diners, locals, and tourists looking for a calm start or a casual meal away from the busier venues nearby. It’s a place where simple table service meets an unhurried pace, laid back enough to linger over a coffee or drop in for a midday bite.
The owners, a quiet couple who run things at their own steady rhythm, bring a personal touch to the experience, making it feel less like a commercial spot and more like a neighborhood find. While accessibility options are limited, the free parking and dog-friendly outdoor seating add convenience for visitors exploring the area. If you're after straightforward, well-made food and a place where the pace of life slows down for a while, this cafe fits right into the local scene.

"This small place offers a nice selection for breakfast."
"It has a quaint, family-run vibe with polite service and care."
5 Cafe run by a lovely elderly couple Steven and Gayleen. They are doing their best in their own pace The interior takes you to early 80’s, which is just lovely. They serve really nice food as well. I’m in love! Please be nice and tip them when you’re in!
5 Quiet little cafe, with everything dome right ! Food was fantastic, generous portion sizes and really good value. Great for a slow morning after a long night, or to fuel a long day. 10/10
5 This has to be one of the best cafes in the surfers paradise area. It's not a fast, big Cafe with lots of staff, it's a beautiful couple who make the food with care. My banana smoothie was delicious and very generous. My wife got a vanilla latte which was also great. The BLT (pictured) very generous portion, very fresh ingredients, and was cooked really well. I got the sausage and egg toasted Turkish bread which exceeded my expectations. It's a quiet joint, which presents fantastic value, and seemed to be operated by two people who care.
5 Looks aren’t everything! Our breakfast came out super fast..cooked to perfection, mega large latte, piping hot. $12 for breakfast. Perfect
5 On our first visit to Surfers in May 2025, we found this cafe. So when I came back in Nov 2025, i knew i had to go again. I wished i had been able to visit a few times but my trip wasnt for a holiday, but spending time with a terminally ill relative so i didnt get that chance. Absolutely worth a visit, the breakfast is amazing. The owners are 2 of the nicest and friendliest people i have come across, and they really do have a hidden little gem.
5 2Zing! Cafe was an amazing breakfast stop on my vacation to surfers paradise. The food was perfect, great value, and the service (which seems like it is run by just a husband and wife) was excellent and friendly. In particular, i thought my Pineapple Zing was great for an option other than coffee Would highly recommend this place for a breakfast.
5 I've been coming here for years for breakfast and coffee. Their food is original home cooked and absolutely fantastic. It's a tucked away secret that I will always make the effort to come back to. The owners are super friendly, down to earth people who just want the best for their customer, not the best google rating or Michelin star winning dish. If you're reading this far into the review, I want to also highlight that these guys are not a commercial cafe like what you see down the road in Cavill Ave. They don't have 5 wait staff 2 baristas and a chef, just the two of them running the show. Slow down your expectations or go down the road if you want restaurant dining waiters, but park it right here for a rare opportunity to be served fantastic food by people who care.
Many visitors love the Flat White, Bacon and Eggs, Steak Sandwich, and Bricher Muesli for breakfast or lunch.
It’s a cozy cafe ideal for a relaxed sit-down meal or a slow morning, not a rushed grab-and-go spot.
The cafe welcomes both solo diners and small groups in a casual and comfortable setting.
2Zing! Cafe does not have wheelchair accessible entrances, restrooms, or seating.
You can pay with credit cards, debit cards, or NFC mobile payments.
Dogs are welcome outside the cafe, making it a good stop if you’re out with your pet.
